Sharp Claw Pokémon
Dark Ice
Dark Ice
#461 Weavile
3'07" 75.0lbs
Weavile is a weasel-like Pokémon whose appearance also looks like that of a bluish- black bipedal feline, clad in a bright red crown, and collar. Weavile has two tails, instead of three like its pre-evolved form. Unlike its pre-evolved form, there is no gem on its chest, and it has three claws on each paw, as opposed to just two. They have highly acrobatic, ninja-like bodies, which allows them to do individual maneuvers and lightning-fast attacks.

A Growing Fondness for those frills...
Pokémon Crystal has always been my favorite Pokémon game, and I love all of the Johto Pokémon...So I highly approved of Sneasel already and also due to the fact that many dub Sneasel as the un-official "Cat-Pokémon" of Generation II! However, I did not fancy Weavile very much at first since I did not like his frill nor his red collar; They either reminded me of a clown or an Elizabethan ruff. In the beginning, I only collected Weavile due to the fact that it was Sneasel's evolution so I felt obligated to collect it but as time grew, I began to find myself growing more love for the Sharp Claw Pokémon . He really does look like a cat! ♥

Weavile 2005 Pokedoll
(ポケモンポケドール)
Pokédoll are a line of plush toys released in Japan by The Pokémon Company and in the United States by Pokémon USA. They are a Super-Deformed doll, usually with heads much larger than bodies and simplified facial features. The Pokedoll range is only sold at Pokemon Centers around Japan, and Nintendo World, Epcot, and special kiosks in the USA. It is one of the most popular and iconic plush series for Pokémon; the series even spawned some other merchandise based on the iconic Pokédoll design, both plush and non-plush.
This particular plush is the 2005 American release Pokédoll. I bought him on Ebay. He is made voelboa and has a minky Japanese 2009 re-release [which I plan to get someday!]

Banpresto Weavile UFO Catcher
(UFOキャッチャー)
The term UFO Catcher Plush is used to describe any licensed character plush won in claw crane game machines. This particular plush was manufactured by the company "Banpresto" and was available in claw games back in 2010.
He has a little string on the back of his head where you could grapple onto the the UFO crane claw in order to lift him up and bring him over to the prize chute. I've always thought that the stitching makes him look like he has a double chin! A weird sort of charmingly cute trait XD

Weavile TOMY "Laying" Beanie Plush
This plush was manufactured by the toy company, "TOMY" in 2005 and feels as though it is made of terrycloth. This plush has pellets inside of it distinct to "beanie" plush. It was one part of a series of plush that featured Pokemon who looked as though they were "lying" down.
I actually didn't buy this guy! My BF purchased him from a Convention a few years back and sent him to me for Valentine's Day in '10!

Weavile kaiyodo bottlecap figure
The company "Kaiyodo" produced corresponding Bottlecap figures to go along with the theatrical releases of the Pokémon movies. They were available at 7/11's exclusive to Japan. This particular figure was released in 2005 with the 8th Movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.
This figure is very well sculpted, and is just overall gorgeous. It is my boyfriends favorite figure from the collection due to the cool pose that Weavile is in.

pose-able tomy weavile figure
I'm not quite certain about this figure, but I believe that it was released for the 8th Movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew [along with most Weavile merch] due to the fact that the other Pokémon included in the set were all featured in the Movie. The manufacturer was "Takara Tomy".
He is very much larger than the regular TOMY Figure and his arms are movable. His tail comes detached and must be assembled by being poked into a hole on his blue butt. I have some playset rocks that go perfectly with that base of his~

jakks weavile figure
|
This Figure was also manufactured by "Jakks Pacific", and he is very tall! He was released in a series of Pokémon figures that came with their own marbles. Although I purchased him MIP, he has a lot of weird scratches all over his body. His arms are movable too but he has an enormous head, so naturally he is top-heavy and constantly face plants.
[The Weavile Marble with the face came packaged with my Weavile Jakks Figure, I am not quite sure where the other two are from but I purchased them from a lot of marbles]

weavile kid figures
(ポケモンキッズ)
Pokémon Kids are a series of Pokémon figures that are manufactured by the company BANDAI and began in 1996 in Japan. They are hollow figures that are packaged with candy. They are often advertised as 'finger puppets' and some Pokémon figures have clear variations. Clear Kid figures are translucent and are hard to find/rare.
An extremely rare clear Weavile kid exists, but I am not actively seeking it.
This is the full completed set of all Weavile Kids. There are so many Weavile that I lost track of which is which XD I do howevere remember that two come from 8th Movie Packs from 2005 and another two are individually packaged Kids.

Weavile magnet figure
Uh......I don't know anything about this figure, really! XD Perhaps it was released for the 8th Movie or for the Diamond and Pearl Era? To my knowledge, a Mew, Lucario, and a Combusken[?] were made as well.
The Weavile figure has a magnet on the bottom of his feet that allowed him to attack onto the base. Such a cutie!

Weavile ball Keychain
This keychain was released during the Diamond and Pearl era possibly by "Jakks Pacific"..?
I purchased mine MIP, but I cannot remember for the life of me, the Company labeled on the packaging.

Weavile TM Collection Pencil Topper figure
(わざマシンコレクション)
TM Collection are small, detailed pencil topper figures produced by Bandai. Each figure features the Pokémon in a dynamic attack pose (hence the name), and come with small stickers with information on the featured Pokémon and attack.
My purchased Weavile was "loose" so it did not come with an insert/sticker. I don't even think this series comes with an insert/sticker or even a Base! xD The base this one is on was taken from a BellSprout Battle Museum figure.

Weavile JPCandy Bottlecap Figure
These Weavile figures are glued to the base of the Bottlecap. I believe that they were originally attached to bottles of Candy that were sold exclusively in Japan during the Diamond and Pearl era.
I saw one for offers a year or so ago but my offer was turned down and the Weavile bottlecap figure was sold. I didn't think I'd see another one until my friend sent me a link to an auction for a set of Bottlecap figures.
The auction ended in 1 1/2 hours and I needed to use a Deputy Middleman service in order to bid so I wanted to try out a new Deputy service called "Noppin". I deposited my money only to find out that the deputy service would be offline due to moving offices. I flipped out as I had deposited all of my money available but lucky for me, the service opened up 30 minutes before the auction ended. I bid and won with no competition and let my friend claim the two Mews that were in the lot x3

8th Pokémon movie 1/40 zukan
(立体ポケモン図鑑)
This Zukan was released during 2005 in correspondence to the 8th Movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew along with a second Movie Zukan Playset that features Weavile [that I have put off obtaining for the moment].
These guys came from Ebay~ I usually hide Mime Jr. and Bonsly in the back XD

1/40 scale Dp zukan
(立体ポケモン図鑑)
After Diamond and Pearl came out, Sneasel received it's very own evolution, therefore this evolutionary line zukan was released.
I found this for sale on a German website. I contacted the seller in Deutsch [My not very good German] and purchased one! It came in the mail a week or two later. I really love the dynamic posing of Sneasel and Weavile! Definitely one of my favorite collection pieces! (*´▽`*)

Weavile Chocoball Footprint figure
(ポケモンボールチョコ)
This figure, I believe, was packaged along with a Japanese "Chocoball" candy and the figure is removable from it's base. I am not sure of the manufacturer.
This series is referred to as the "Footprint" figures due to the fact that the base of the Figure has little footprints where you place your Figure's feet into, thus Footprint figure.

Weavile pez
PEZ is the brand name of an Austrian candy and their mechanical pocket dispensers. The candy itself takes the shape of pressed, dry, straight-edged blocks with Pez dispensers holding 12 Pez pieces.
This guy was probably also 8th Movie merch since I believe that Mew was in the set. I need the shorter blue Weavile PEZ dispenser to complete this Weavile set.
I used it a few times for PEZ. It actually has amazing detail/paintjob for being a PEZ dispenser.

Weavile jan-ken-pon figure
I know next to noting about this figure. I only knew of it's existence due to seeing a photo of one in someone's Weavile collection. I tried contacting the owner for information about the figure, but I never received any messages back.
After creating a wishlist, a fellow collector [and now friend] posted a reply stating that they knew where I could get this figure together with a link to an old auction for one.
I contacted the owner of the auction and they agreed to see me the figure once they were able to retrieve it from their other house. Once they had the figure in hand, they sent me a message and I gladly paid for it, although shipping was from Australia and thus deathly expensive.
Now this little guy is in my collection with his fellow brothers!

Various Weavile Figure charms
Various Weavile Charms that were released with the 8th Movie. The other charms in the set were all Pokémon that were featured in the movie.
The Red one is the 'clear' version of the charm on the right.

Weavile whistle
I know nothing about this Weavile item Orz It came with instructions which I could not read since I do not understand much Japanese. However, I was able to assemble it by looking at the diagrams. I couldn't for the life of my, figure out how to use it though. I gave it to my BF who figured out that you have to blow on it from the side... .__.
Weavile tomy keychains
Here I have two chain-less Weavile TOMY Keychains. I do not know very much about them other than the fact that they were produced by Takara Tomy.... But they were most likely released for the 8th Pokémon Movie. I received these chain-less and hope to find MIP duplicates of these someday!
european weavile candy figure
I do not know all the details....But I believe that this figure was only available in Europe during the Diamond and Pearl Era and was sold with Candy. I am not sure of the manufacturer.
Weavile suction cup figure
Another piece of Weavile merch that I thought I'd never get my hands on! I have no idea about where the background for this figure. Mine is rather old and has lot of scratches/damage to his face and yellowing on the suction cup....But I still find it cute!
I definitely hope to find one in better condition someday.

Weavile Eraser Figure
A Green Weavile Eraser [Not sure if this is considered a figure or non-flat XD] that I have no information on. My only guess is that it came from one of the DP Eraser Sets.
Would love to have more color variants <3

Weavile M08 Zukan Diorama
Special Diorama Zukan for the 8th movie. The ridged Cog on the bottom can turn rotate to pokemon a little [but not very much.....]
☆Non-flats☆
Weavile Retsuden Stamp
(ポケモンスタンプ烈伝)
Retsuden Stamps are Japanese stamps made by the Ensky company. The series has been around since Generation I. Each Retsuden Stamp features a single Pokemon and has an unscrewable base which reveals the stamp.
I've only seen this once before in a photo of another collector's Weavile collection. I nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw this up for sale! I was overjoyed to find out that I wasn't too late for once, and couldn't wait until he arrived in my mailbox.
There is another Weavile Retsuden Stamp that I know exists and it is currently my Holy Grail of Weavile merchandise. Once I get it, I will have completed the Sneasel and Weavile Retsuden Stamp collection!
The ink is dried up on my stamp so I need to get an inkpad in order to use it.

Clear Weavile 8th Movie charm
One of the coolest pieces of Weavile merch to ever exist! This strap was released for the 8th movie and the set contained other Pokémon that were featured in the movie, such as Lucario and Pikachu.
It was a mini grail and I never thought I would ever see one pop up, but one day I logged on to check my messages and saw it in the sales post! However, it was already on "hold". I was so sad until I looked into my messages and found that it was actually on hold for ME!!! I was so happy and still super grateful! I loved the charm, but when I received it, I noticed some knicks on the metal.
Not too long ago, I found a cheap lot with the full MIP set and decided to purchase it. Now I have the brand spankin' new Weavile strap in my collection and wear the damaged one on my phone! yay! \o/

Weavile painted charm
This charm is referred to as a "painted charm". The series features a variety of different Pokemon from Diamond and Pearl.
I had one of these in my collection, but it was horribly damaged with chips everywhere. Whenever I saw one pop up, it was damaged! Finally a found an auction for a large amount of sets of random Pokémon items and decided that I was finally going to get a good condition Weavile Painted charm!

Weavile puzzle keychain
Not quite sure what company made this keychain since it's been a long time since I got it and I am too lazy to go look for it, but I'm positive that this was manufactured by an American company during Diamond and Pearl. What you see is what you get! It's a sliding Puzzle Keychain!
This was a gift from my friend, Kei! She was visiting the States and found one in a Dollar Store and sent it to me XD

Various Battrios
(ポケモンカードゲーム)
Pokémon Battrio is an arcade video game that was announced on April 11, 2007 and released on November 21, 2007 in Japan. The game requires players to move around certain pucks with Pokémon on a grid. The game is made for two player multiplayer where players will battle each other's Pokémon. Each Player can use up to three Pokémon. It is the first Pokémon title released for arcades. You can purchase Pucks at designated machines.
I purchased a few of these from a seller [for very high prices that I couldn't get lowered....] and found a Japanese seller on Ebay who I asked for a deal. Now I own all of the Sneasel and Weavile Battrios with the exception of one Weavile puck.

weavile 8th movie swing chain
(ポケモンメダルスイング)
This Weavile keychain was released in a set with Lucario and Mew for the 8th Movie. Manufacturer = ???
I found this auction awhile back on Y!J, but I was afraid of using a middleman. It was fairly cheap though and after it was re-listed, I decided to gather my courage and try out a Deputy Service.
I won the with no competition and auctioned off the Lucario and traded the Mew for a Sneasel 4th Movie swing chain.

Weavile M08 Badge
Weavile/Bonsly/Mime Jr. Badge that was released with the 8th Movie alone with two other badges. The other badges in the set featured various Pokémon and Trainers that were featured in the movie.
Weavile DS Cartridge Case
I know next to nothing about this case, but there is a small compartment that you can pull out to put something in. Due to it's size, I would imagine that this is a case to store a DS game.
There is also a slot at the top which possibly had a ball chain link or some type of string to attach it to your keys/backpack/etc.

Weavile choco tin
A Chocolate candy tin that was released in 2005 during the DP Era. There is another tin that I am looking for in this set with Lucario and Weavile

Information I have on this: Zero. I won it in an auction and use it sometimes for when I can't decide on something XD
☆Flats☆
m08 Movie clearfile
A Clearfile that was released with the 8th Movie in Pokemon Center Stores back in 2005.
BROMIDE Gum card stickers
These stickers are from "BROMIDE Gum", and are HUGE! The card is bigger than the normal Pokemon cards. It measures 3.25" x 4.75" (8cm x 12cm). This series was made back in 2008 and is discontinued. This series contains very many cards [some were even holofoil] and there are even some "evolutionary sets".
The evolution cards could be peeled to see the evolution of a Pokémon. If the card is an evolution card then there is a red arrow mark on the lower left corner that instructs you to peel. The upper sheet is a sticker and the lower is a card.
I got the majority of these from a flats lot on Y!J.

weavile calender page
I have no idea about these....Other than the fact that these came from a Pokémon calender that contained several pages of various Pokémon and possibly their evolutions for each month of the year.
kid figure cards & stickers
These are various Stickers and cards that came packaged inside the box with the Kid puppet figures. Every Pokémon kid figure comes with candy and either a sticker or a card.
I don't even remember where I got all of the Weavile stickers from...But the bottom one was from a boxed Weavile Kid that I purchased.

Retsuden amada stickers
A series of Japanese stickers manufactured by the toy prize company "Ensky". They are usually blind packages in sets, although there are sets available where you can see what Pokémon stickers are included. Some stickers had a sparkly/metallic accent.
I really love the artwork featured in these sticker. I still need quite a few Weavile Amada stickers to complete my collection!

pan bread stickers
(ポケモンパン)
Pokémon Pan is a snack found in 7-11 stores around Japan, made by "Daiichi Pan". The breads are packed individually and with foil wrapped stickers, known as "pan stickers". These stickers are random and most (possibly all) Pokémon have been represented in pan sticker form. There are hundreds of different pan stickers, many which have Pokémon in rare or never-before-seen poses. Many Japanese collectors prize pan stickers and photo albums made especially for holding pan stickers are known as "Deco-Chara Seal Holders" and are very popular.
I need one more Weavile Pan Sticker to complete my Weavile set.

various weavile magnets
I believe that the circular Weavile Magnet is a rare "Retsuden" magnet. As for the Cut out Weavile Magnet, I am positive that it came from an album of Diamond and Pearl Pokémon magnets.
These came from various places including Ebay.

Various flats
☆Weavile Circular Sticker: ???
☆Kid's Weavile Card: Some sort of card promo for the 8th Movie. ☆Weavile Sticker: Perhaps from an Album..? ☆Weavile Gum Sticker: Bottom Left. Came from a set of pack of Pokémon stickers that were included with Japanese Gum. ☆Weavile Korean Pop-Up Sticker: It 'pops up' but the texture is really off from the actual art so he looks deformed XD ☆Weavile Pokemon Center Sticker: Part of a 8th Movie Sticker sheet. ☆Korean Weavile Sticker: I found this in a bag of Korean glittery sticky and clear Pokémon shapes that I still cannot identify to this day. |
☆Weavile American Pog: FAT and HUGE.
☆Weavile Sealdass Card: These were sold for a limited time in vending machines in Japan. I need the second Weavile which has a slightly different looking Design. ☆Weavile Ramune Stickers: I presume that they came with Japanese Ramune candies. |
☆Weavile Weekly Card: This came from a Japanese Pokémon Weekly Magazine.
☆Weavile Blue Sticker: ??? ☆Weavile Foil Sticker: My theory is that this sticker came from some sort of Pokémon gum due to it's long shape. ☆Weavile Square Sticker: ??? |
